Founded Through Passion

Quincy is a small mountain town in the Sierra Nevadas of Northern California. It’s the last place you might expect to find a thriving performing circus. But when founders Lindsay Davis and Niki Hall got the idea in their head to learn circus arts, they inspired others to join the fun, and the organization was born. The leadership has changed but the mission and passion remains: share the joy of circus to anyone in the community who wants it.

Quircus is a nonprofit organization fueled by the vision and drive of its members. Our volunteers, teachers, and performers all come from the community around us, and many of them don’t have any experience in circus arts when they join. And we think that’s great! Quircus is about sharing join and inspiring passion in people, no matter their age, gender, race, or anything else. People can come and play for a day, or spend years helping us grow. And if someone finds their new calling along the way, that warms our clown hearts.

Quircus is about inclusion. It’s a place for us to express ourselves in unique ways. And we are so glad to be here!
